About Nate Burleson
Nate Burleson is a former NFL wide receiver. He first made his mark in the football world at the University of Nevada. As a senior, he recorded 138 receptions, the second-highest total in NCAA history. He led the NCAA in receptions and receiving yards per game. He was named a first-team All-American and an All-Western Athletic Conference selection. The Minnesota Vikings selected him in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft. During his second season, Burleson caught 68 passes for 1,006 yards and nine touchdowns. In 2006, he joined his hometown Seattle Seahawks as a free agent. Burleson had several standout seasons with the franchise and was named to the Seattle Seahawks 35th Anniversary Team. He also spent four seasons with the Detroit Lions before retiring after the 2013 season. Burleson has been active in broadcasting since leaving the game and is a member of the NFL on CBS team.
