About Nick Barnett
Nick Barnett is a professional football linebacker who is currently a free agent. Barnett attended Oregon State University where he was a four-letter winner for the Beaver’s football team. As a senior, Barnett was a first-team All-Pac-10 Conference selection. The Green Bay Packers selected Barnett in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft. Barnett missed the second half of the 2008 season after suffering a torn knee ligament. He then suffered a season-ending wrist injury during 2010. As a Packer, Barnett was the 2005 NFC Combined Tackles Leader, 2007 All-Pro selection, and 2010 NFC Champion. His final season with the Packers ended with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Super Bowl XLV. On July 26, 2011, it was announced that the Packers would trade to trade Barnett and if they could not, they would release him. He was then released on July 28, after the Packers were not able to find a trade. Barnett signed a three-year with the Buffalo Bills on July 31, 2011. The Bills announced they would release him on February 11, 2013. He then signed a one-year deal with the Redskins on July 31, 2013.
