About Nino Niederreiter
Nino Niederreiter is a right wing for the Minnesota Wild. The New York Islanders originally made him the fifth pick overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He is the highest-drafted player of Swiss descent in league history. That season, he made his NHL debut with the Islanders. After playing with New York in parts of two seasons, he was traded to the Wild. He has since become a more consistent performer at the NHL level. Niederreiter has represented Switzerland at four World Championships and the 2014 Olympics. He originally started out his career on the junior circuit in his home country with HC Davos.
