About Oliver Ekman-Larsson
Oliver Ekman-Larsson is a defenseman for the Arizona Coyotes. The Coyotes originally selected Ekman-Larsson in the first round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. After beginning his professional career in Sweden, he debuted with Phoenix in 2010. Ekman-Larsson went on to lead the Coyotes in scoring during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons. He was selected to his first All-Star Game in 2015 and led all NHL defensemen with 23 goals. The following year, he set a league record for game-winning goals by a defenseman. Ekman-Larsson was named to his second All-Star team in 2018. He has represented Sweden at four World Championships and was part of the gold medal-winning team in 2017. He also skated for his country as they took home silver at the 2014 Olympics.
