Orlando Pace

Orlando Pace is a former professional offensive tackle for the St. Louis Rams and Chicago Bears of the NFL. While in high school, Pace was a two-sport athlete, playing football and basketball. Pace attended Ohio State University where he played for the Buckeye’s football team from 1993-96. Pace became the second true freshman to start for the Buckeyes on opening day. During his time with Ohio State, Pace was a 2x consensus All-American and a 2x Lombardi Award winner. He also won the Outland Trophy in 1996 and the Jim Parker Award that same year. Pace was also named UPI Lineman of the year in 1996. The St. Louis Rams selected Pace as the first overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft. Pace made his first NFL start on September 28, 1997. With the Rams, Pace was a 7x Pro Bowl selection, 5x All-Pro, and he helped the Rams win Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000. The Rams released Pace in March 2009. On April 2, 2009, the Chicago Bears signed Pace to a three-year, $15 million deal. The Bears released him on March 1, 2010.
