About Oscar Tshiebwe
Oscar Tshiebwe was an immediate star for Kentucky after transferring from West Virginia. Tshiebwe was named the National Player of the Year in 2022 after averaging 16.4 points and 15.3 rebounds per game for the Wildcats. He also picked up additional honors including SEC Player of the Year, the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award, and the Pete Newell Big Man Award. Tshiebwe had previously played two seasons at West Virginia, where he was an All-Big 12 second-team pick in 2020. Tshiebwe was a five-star recruit coming out of high school and the Gatorade Player of the Year in Pennsylvania who moved to the United States from Congo to pursue his basketball dreams.
