About Pat Fischer
Pat Fisher had a standout 17-year career in the NFL. He split his time as a cornerback with the St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Redskins. Fischer earned three Pro Bowl nods. He finished with 56 career interceptions, 27 of those coming in Washington. He ranks fourth on the Redskins career interceptions list. When he retired, Fischer had played a record 213 games at corner. He made it to one Super Bowl in his career, but Washington lost to the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl VII. Fisher made a list of 70 Greatest Redskins. He also played college football at Nebraska and was a 17th round selection in the 1961 NFL Draft. In retirement, he worked as a stockbroker and owned his own real estate business.
