About Pat Murphy
Pat Murphy has worked as a baseball coach and manager throughout his career which includes both college and professional baseball. Born in 1958 in Syracuse, New York, he played college baseball at Florida Atlantic University, where he was later inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame.
As head coach at the University of Notre Dame Murphy achieved multiple NCAA regional appearances with his team. He took the Sun Devils to four Pac-10 championships and four College World Series appearances during his time as head coach at Arizona State University while developing numerous All-Americans who became Major League players.
After his professional baseball career Murphy took an interim managerial role with the San Diego Padres before joining the Milwaukee Brewers coaching staff. The Brewers hired him as their manager in 2024 and he led the team to win the National League Central Division title while earning National League Manager of the Year recognition.
During the off-season Murphy resides in Mesa Arizona while being a devoted father to his three children.
