Paul Rhoads

Paul Rhoads is a collegiate football head coach, currently serving as head coach at Iowa State University. After graduating from Utah State in 1991, Rhoads began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Utah State and Ohio State. In 1992, he received his first coaching job, serving as the defensive backs coach at the University of Pacific. Two years later, Rhoads was hired to the same position at Iowa State, a position he would serve until leaving in 1999 to become the defensive coordinator at Pittsburgh. In 2008, Rhoads accepted an offer to become the defensive coordinator at Auburn University, only coaching for one season after not being retained due to a new coaching staff. Less than two months later, Rhoads was introduced as the new head coach at Iowa State University, becoming their 31st head coach in the history of the team. As a head coach, Rhoads holds an overall record of 29-45, leading the Cyclones to three bowl games in a tough Big 12 conference.
