Paul Rodriguez Jr. is a professional street skateboarder. Rodriguez mainly competes in the X-games,where he currently holds the record for street skateboarding with eight medals, including four goldmedals. He originally got his start at just 14 years old, riding forDNA Skateboards and appearing in their1999 movie. Two years later, Rodriguez joined the City Stars team, appearing inmultiple skating videosuntil signing with Girl, a prestigious team, in 2002. All the while, Rodriguez was training for the X-Games,and he rode in his first event in 2003, finishing with a bronze medal award. This bronze would be thelowest medal he wouldever receive at any X-Games, as he would compete almost yearly for the nextten years. Rodriguez also was designing hisown brand during his time with Girl, creating skateboarddesigns and finding a way to make money, proving that he wasn’t justanother skater kid, and that heknew how to make money in the business. Rodriguez now skates for Nike after a long stint with Plan B,and looks to create his own skating team in the near future.
