About Phil Laak
Phil Laak is a professional poker player with wins on the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker. Laak has finished in the money 20 times on the WSOP and nine times in WPT events. He has over $3 million won in live tournament earnings. Laak has a Guinness World Record for poker endurance after going for 115 hours at the Bellagio tables in Las Vegas. His first win was at the WPT Celebrity Invitational in 2004. Laak’s wears a hoodie and sunglasses at the table and has been given the nickname “The Unabomber” for his unique look. Laak was born in Dublin, but grew up in the U.S. and learned to play poker at a very young age. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
