About PK Subban
P.K. Subban was born in Ontario, Canada and was introduced to the sport of hockey at a young age. During his junior career he played for the Belleville Bulls in the Ontario Hockey League and scored 42 goals and to go along with 148 assists over a four-year span from 2005 to 2009. Subban got his start in pro hockey when the Montreal Canadiens selected him in the second round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. After being drafted he continued to play in the OHL and played one season with the Hamilton Bulldogs in the AHL in 2009-10 before joining the Canadiens. Through his first five seasons he has been a standout performer, earning All-Rookie Team honors in 2011, All-Star honors in 2013 and the James Norris Memorial Trophy in 2013 as the league’s top defensive player. Throughout his career he has also been a popular player on the Canadian National Team, leading his country to two World Junior Championships in 2008 and 2009 and an Olympic Gold Medal at the 2014 London Olympics.
