Rachel Nichols

Rachel Nichols has been called the country’s most impactful and prominent female sports journalist.  She was born in Potomac, Maryland and graduated from Winston Churchill High School in 1991.  After high school she attended Northwestern University and earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism.  After earning her degree she pursued a successful career in journalism as a reporter for the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel and Washington Post from 1995 to 2004.  While with the Washington Post she covered the Washington Capitals and broke into the sports business.  She eventually made her way to ESPN and quickly became one of their most popular personalities.  While at ESPN she served as a correspondent for E:60 and was a regular on such popular shows as Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown and Monday Night Football.  She has since joined CNN and CNN International and currently serves as a reporter for Turner Sports, where she covers the NBA on TNT, MLB baseball on TBS and NCAA basketball.
