About Ray Ratto
Ray Ratto is one of the countries most accomplished sportswriters. He has worked in the business since the 1970s in the San Francisco Bay area where he has also been a sports columnist since the 1980s. Ray is known best for his writing of national columns for espn.com as well as for CBS at sportsline.com. He began his career with two newspapers, The National and the Peninsula Times Tribune. Following his time there he later moved on to work in San Francisco with the San Francisco Examiner and the San Francisco Chronicle. Ratto is also the Senior Insider for the television station Comcast SportsNet Bay Area where he also writes for their website. His knowledge of sport and extensive experience has earned him a position as one of the 60 sports writers whose ranking of college football teams makes up the AP Poll that ranks the top 25 football programs every week.
