About Robert Mathis
Robert Mathis currently plays professional football for the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League at the outside linebacker position. Prior to making it to the pros he played college football at Alabama A&M University. While playing in college Mathis set an NCAA record as a senior with 20 sacks in a single season. Mathis entered the NFL Draft in 2003 where he was picked by the Colts in the fifth round, at the 138th overall pick. Mathis has spent his whole career with the Colts and his production on the field during his career so far has led him to become a six time Pro Bowler, two time All-Pro selection, and a Super Bowl Champion with the Colts in Super Bowl XLI. Mathis also holds the NFL record for most strip-sacks with 43 and he has also won many awards throughout his career including AFC Defensive Player of the Year in 2013.
