About Rune Glifberg
At the age of 11, Rune Glifberg received a skateboard as a gift and from the point forward his life was forever changed. The Danish born skater turned professional in 1992 and moved to California in 95 to continue to pursue is skating career. Glifberg began his career as a vert skater but has also been known as a world class park skater as well. He signed a deal with Flip Skateboards and remained with the company for the remainder of his career. He is only one of three active riders who have appeared in every X Games, winning 12 medals in all. His two gold medals came in 2008 and 2009 when he won the Park event back-to-back. Glifberg is also the co-owner of Pipeline Distribution and runs an events company in Denmark named RunEvent.
