About Ryan Crouser
Ryan Crouser is a two-time Olympic gold medalist. Crouser first won gold for the U.S. in shot put at the 2016 Olympics. His 22.52 m throw broke the Olympic record. Crouser was used to history-making performances after his turn at the U.S. Olympic Trials. Despite ranking 11 inches behind reigning world champion Joe Kovacs, he beat him at the Trials to qualify for the Olympics. Crouser competed in college at the University of Texas and graduated in 2016. He two two shot put NCAA Championships each in the indoor and outdoor arenas. Prior to arriving in Austin, Crouser took home a gold medal in shot put and silver in discus throw at the 2009 World Youth Championships.
