About Ryan Kesler
Ryan Kesler is an alternate captain for the Anaheim Ducks. Kesler is known as one of the top American players in the NHL and he has been selected as an All-Star in 2011 and 2017. He has been with the Ducks since 2014. Kesler spent the first decade of his career with the Vancouver Canucks. Vancouver originally selected him in the first round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. In 2011, Kesler won the Frank J. Selke Trophy. That same year he helped the Canucks reach the Stanley Cup Final. Kesler played for both the U.S. National Team Development Program and Ohio State. Prior to entering the NHL, he was named a 2005 AHL All-Star while with the Manitoba Moose. He represented Team USA at the 2010 and 2014 Olympics. Kesler also competed for gold medal-winning squads at the World U18 Championships and World Junior Championships.
