About Sam Farha
Ihsan Farha, more commonly referred to as Sam, pursues a career as a professional poker player. Throughout his poker endeavors, Farha has also been nicknamed “Mister Cool”. He was born in Lebanon in 1959 but moved to the states during his teenage years due to the commencement of the Lebanese Civil War. Farha settled in Kansas and went on to attend the Univeristy of Kansas before moving to Texas with his brother, where he currently resides. Farha had never even touched a poker chip before he moved to Texas. After playing for a year and realizing his talent at the game, he quit his job in 1990 in order to become a full-time poker player. Since, he has won three bracelets at the World Series of Poker and achieved his most notable performance in 2003 as a runner up in the main event in the World Series of Poker. Farha continues to play passionately in countless poker tournaments while he is currently in the midst of authoring a book, reality TV poker series, and a video game. With a creative mind and little fear of the unknown, Farha is a role model to many.
