About Sam Ponder
Sam Ponder has been one of ESPN's most popular hosts and reporters since 2011. She was originally one of the first hires made for ESPN's Longhorn Network. Ponder quickly rose through the broadcasting ranks, becoming a reporter on College Gameday and working the sidelines for a host of ESPN college football and basketball games. During the 2016 season, she was the sideline reporter for ABC Saturday Night Football. In 2017, she became just the third person in the 32-year history of Sunday NFL Countdown to serve as host.
Prior to joining ESPN, Ponder got her broadcasting start as a host and reporter for Fox Sports. She started in the industry as a intern at ABC Sports Radio and student broadcaster at Liberty University.
