Sam Querrey

Sam Querrey is known for his outstanding talent in the sport of tennis. As a professional player since 2006, he has gone on to represent the United States in a very positive way. Querrey was born in San Francisco, California in 1987 and picked up the sport of tennis at his father’s urging. After falling in love with it himself, he made the tough decision to turn down a scholarship to the University of Southern California in order to turn professional, instead. That same year, he became the first player to win a challenger event in his professional debut. In the years since, he has become known for his prominent serve. In fact, he currently holds the record for the most consecutive service aces since the ATP began recording those statistics. Querrey has achieved tremendous results as a singles player, as he reached is highest ranking of number 17 in the world in 2011. While he continues to compete for our country, he also plays in tournaments to raise money for charities. He has specifically spent time focusing on the Boys and Girls Club and school groups such as the Healthy and Active Lifestyle (HAL) in the hopes of giving them the tools to succeed in life.
