About Sammie Coates
Sammie Coates is a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers selected him in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Coates first start of his career came in the AFC Divisional Playoff round against the Denver Broncos. He had two receptions for 61 yards in the loss. Coates played college football at Auburn and finished as the school's tenth leading receiver all-time with 1,757 career yards. As a sophomore, he had 902 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. The Tigers would win the Southeastern Conference and play in the BCS National Championship Game. The following year, Coates numbers went down but he was named to the All-SEC second team. In his final regular season game, he set a school record with 206 receiving yards against Alabama.
