About Scott Pruett
Scott Pruett is one of the most versatile motorsports athletes in recent memory. He achieved most of his success in sports car racing. Pruett has won five Grand-Am championships and three Trans-Am titles. From 1988-1999, he raced in the CART series and picked up two victories. In his second CART season, he was named Indianapolis 500 co-rookie of the year. Pruett spent the 2000 season racing exclusively in the NASCAR Winston Cup series. Throughout his competitive career, he would often run in NASCAR road course races as well. Pruett is a five-time winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona. He took home the 12 Hours of Sebring overall title in 2014. Pruett has also spent time as a commentator, most notably for Champ Car races on the Speed Channel. He is a member of the Motorsports Hall of Fame and the World Karting Association Hall of Fame. Pruett retired from competition following the 2018 24 Hours of Daytona.
