About Shaq Lawson
Shaq Lawson is a defensive end for the New York Jets. The Miami Dolphins traded Lawson to the Houston Texans in 2021. They originally signed him after he had a breakout season, recording 6.5 sacks for the playoff-bound Buffalo Bills in 2019. The Bills originally selected Lawson in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He starred in college at Clemson University. As a first-year starter in 2015, Lawson made a tremendous impact. He has named a consensus All-American while recording 24 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. Both totals led the Atlantic Coast Conference. His 24 tackles for loss also led the NCAA. Lawson's excellent pass rushing production helped the Tigers reach the National Championship game. Despite being a first-time starter as a junior, he had been an impact player since his freshman year. That season, Lawson's four sacks tied the Clemson freshman record. Several publications named him a freshman All-American. Coming to the Tigers out of Hargrave Military Academy, Lawson was rated at the nation's number on prep school prospect by 247 Sports.
