About Skip Holtz
Skip Holtz is the former head football coach at Louisiana Tech, ECU, and USF. Holtz is the son of college football legend, Lou Holtz. He attended Holy Cross College for two years before he transferred to Notre Dame. Holtz’s first coaching job was as a graduate assistant at Florida State University in 1987. He spent two years at FSU before he became the wide receivers coach at Colorado State University. Holtz spent 1990-93 at Notre Dame where he served as a wide receivers coach and an offensive coordinator. After Notre Dame, Holtz spent four years as the head coach of the University of Connecticut. His next job was at the University of South Carolina as the offensive coordinator and the quarterback coach. He also coached at East Carolina, South Florida and Louisiana Tech, compiling a career record of 152-121.
