About Spencer Tillman
Spencer Tillman is a former professional running back in the NFL. Tillman attended the University of Oklahoma where he was named an All-American for the University. He was also the captain of the 1985 National Championship team that defeated Penn State at the Orange Bowl. Tillman was named UPI Player of the Year in the Big Eight Conference, Big Eight Football Newcomer of the Year, and MVP of the 1986 Orange Bowl. The Houston Oilers selected Tillman in the 5th round as the 133rd overall pick in the 1987 NFL Draft. Tillman played for the Oilers for two seasons before he was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in 1989. While playing with the 49ers, Tillman cocaptained with Joe Montana and Ronnie Lott as a part of the Super Bowl XXIV winning roster. Tillman was traded back to Houston in 1992 where he completed his playing career. Tillman has also spent some of his time as an anchor and reporter during the off-seasons of football.
