About Steffi Graf
Steffi Graf is a former tennis player. Graf was introduced to tennis at three years old when her father taught her how to swing a wooden racket in their living room. At four years old, Graf began practicing on a court and at 5; she competed in her first tournament. In October 1982, Graf competed in her first professional tournament where she lost her first-round match to Tracy Austin. In 1983, Graf was ranked World No. 124 at 13 years old. In 1988, Graf competed in the Summer Olympics is Seoul where he played for West Germany. She brought home the gold medal in singles and the bronze medal in doubles. Graf competed in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona where he competed for Germany and won the silver medal in the singles competition. She has won a total of 107 career singles titles and 11 career doubles titles. In August 1987, Graf was ranked No. 1 in the singles World Rankings.
