About Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry is the star point guard for the Golden State Warriors. Growing up, Curry’s father Dell played for the Charlotte Hornets and would sometimes take Stephen and his younger brother to the games and let them shoot around with the team during warm-ups. Curry attended Davidson College where he played basketball and was the Southern Conference Player of the Year twice. Curry also set the all-time scoring record for Davidson and the Southern Conference. As a sophomore, Curry set the single-season NCAA record for three-pointers made. The Golden State Warriors selected Curry in the 1st round as the 7th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. So far in his career, Curry has been named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team and All-NBA Second Team. He won the NBA Sportsmanship Award in 2011 and in 2014 he was named an NBA All-Star. Curry wears the same number that his father wore while he was in the NBA.
