About Thomas DeCoud
Thomas DeCoud is an NFL safety, currently playing for the Carolina Panthers. DeCoud played collegiately at the University of California Berkley until being drafted in the third round of the 2008 NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons. DeCoud was used primarily as a special team’s player, and didn’t experience any real success until the 2009 season, starting every game for the Falcons, recording 68 tackles with two interceptions and two forced fumbles. During his time with the Falcons, DeCoud made one Pro Bowl in 2012. DeCoud was released by the Falcons at the end of the 2014 season, signing less than a month later with the Carolina Panthers, where he has started every game at safety since the beginning of the season. In a game against the Chicago Bears in week 5, DeCoud recorded his first interception as a Panther.
