About Thomas Morstead
Thomas Morstead is an NFL punter, currently playing for the New Orleans Saints, where he is also their kickoff specialist. Before becoming a Saint, Morstead was a punter and a field goal kicker for Southern Methodist University. Morstead would be named first team All-Conference USA in 2007 after scoring 82 points and handling punting duties. After graduating from SMU, Morstead was drafted in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, and earned the starting punter job during his rookie season. In arguably his most famous moment in his career, Morstead executed the onside kick in Super Bowl XLIV that would change the momentum, resulting in a win for the Saints over the Indianapolis Colts. He was elected to his first Pro Bowl in 2012, and was signed to a six year extension with the Saints that same year.
