About Tim Hardaway
From 1989 to 2003 Tim Hardaway was the man in the NBA. A 6’0, 175 pound point guard with flash, style and fundamentals that made him a perennial all-star and historic NBA figure. He debuted in the league with the Golden State Warriors from 1989 to 1996 after earning a 1st round selection out of the University of Texas at El Paso, where he was named the best college player in the nation among those who were six feet tall or under. Six feet and under or not, Hardaway would prove that he was one of the best players in the game no matter his size over the next 14 seasons with the Warriors, Heat, Mavericks, Nuggets and Pacers. As a player he earned five All-Star selections and five All-NBA nods to go along with NBA All-Rookie First Team honors in 1990. For his contributions to the Heat franchise from 1996 to 2001 the franchise honored him by retiring his legendary No. 10 jersey. Hardaway has since returned to the league as an assistant coach with the Detroit Pistons, where he continues to contribute to the game he so honorably represented on the court for so long.
