Tim Hudson

Tim Hudson was one of baseball's most consistent pitchers during his 17-year career. Hudson was first a star at Auburn, where he became the 1997 SEC Player of the Year and a consensus All-American. He quickly made an impact when he joined the Oakland Athletics in 1999, posting an 11-2 record his rookie year. Over his six seasons with the A's, he helped lead a franchise resurgence and went 92-39 with a 3.30 ERA. Hudson also made two of his four All-Star teams with Oakland. Prior to the 2005 season, he joined the Atlanta Braves via trade. Hudson spent the last nine years with club, setting several milestones including winning his 200th game. He also overcame Tommy John surgery and won the 2010 National League Comeback Player of the Year. Hudson spent the final two seasons of his career with the San Francisco Giants. He continued to stand out, setting a franchise record with a 30.2 inning streak without allowing a walk. That first year in the Bay Area, Hudson made his final All-Star team and pitched Game 7 of the World Series. He became the oldest pitcher to start a Game 7 and helped the Giants win the World Series. After retiring, Hudson was inducted into the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame.
