About Tippy Martinez
Tippy Martinez had a great 14-year career and he is primarily known for an over decade long run with the Baltimore Orioles. In 1983, Martinez made the All-Star team and helped the Orioles win the World Series. He was always a fan favorite during his time as an Oriole and he inspired a special fan section in his honor near the Memorial Stadium bullpen. Martinez spent the first three seasons of his career with the New York Yankees before being traded to Baltimore in a major 1976 deal. He spent one final season with the Minnesota Twins in 1988. Martinez is a member of the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame.
