About Tom Curren
Tom Curren is a former three-time World Champion surfer who captured 33 championships on the professional tour during his career, which ranks second behind surfing legend Kelly Slater. Curren was the first dominant surfer on the pro level, and is considered one of the true geniuses of the sport due to his soulful approach to surfing and his natural approach to board shaping. When Curren introduced a retro twin fin on tour and threw down huge tricks with a smooth combo of speed and turns everyone wanted what he was surfing. He’s since been at the forefront of new surfboard technology, taking authentic lines and combining them with retro fish looks and egg designs to make for the ultimate floater and performance board. To this day Curren still competes in several Association of Surfing Professionals World Qualifying Events around the world and still sports his signature Rip Curl gear every time he rides a wave.
