About Tony Scheffler
Tony Scheffler is a former player in the National Football League for the Denver Broncos and Detroit Lions playing in the tight end position. Scheffler began his career in high school where he became a standout star and even set a school record for receiving yards in a season with 1,340. Tony then attended Western Michigan University where he had a total of 117 receptions for 1,345 yards and 13 touchdowns, which ranks him second among tight ends in school history. He was also named a two time first team All-Mid-American Conference selection. In the 2006 NFL Draft Tony was selected as the 61st overall pick to the Denver Broncos. He caught his first NFL touchdown against the Chargers, and after the following kickoff was fumbled Scheffler caught another touchdown just 48 seconds later. Citing the concussions he sustained during his career, Tony officially retired from the NFL in June of 2014.
