About Travis Fryman
Travis Fryman is a former Major League Baseball player. In 1987 he was drafted in the first round of the MLB Draft out of high school in Florida. Just a few season later after he continued to develop his skills in the minor leagues, Fryman made his major League debut in 1990 with the Detroit Tigers. While he began his career as a shortstop, he primarily became a third baseman as his career progressed. In 1999 Travis had his best season ever when he set career high numbers in batting average, slugging percentage, hits, doubles, and runs batted in which earned him a Gold Glove Award, which he won an additional 4 times in his career. He is also a 5 time All-Star Selection and a Silver Slugger Award winner. Following his playing career Travis has begun coaching at the minor league level and is currently a hitting instructor for the Cleveland Indians farm system.
