About Travis Jankowski
Travis Jankowski is living proof of perseverance paying off. Jankowski was a big league journeyman, playing for five different franchises, before making an impact on the biggest stage with the Texas Rangers in 2023. Jankowski helped the team win their first World Series, replacing star Adolis Garcia in the lineup during the Fall Classic. The Athletic dubbed him an "unlikely fall hero" for his performance, which included a two-RBI game 4.
Jankowski's journey to baseball's grandest stage was always improbable to say the least. He played college baseball at little-known Stony Brook, helping them to a miracle run to the 2012 College World Series. That season, he led the nation in several offensive categories and after the year, became the first player in school history to become a first-round pick. He was also inducted into the Stony Brook Hall of Fame in 2017.
