About Troy Calhoun
Troy Calhoun is a football coach at the collegiate level for the United States Air Force Academy. Prior to the start of his coaching career Troy played the game in high school with some success and later went on to join the Air Force Academy where he became one of just two freshman to letter on the 1985 team. His career in coaching began in 1989 at his alma mater where he became an assistant. He then spent the next several years as an assistant for several different programs at the collegiate level, as well as a stent as an assistant with the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans of the NFL. In 2007 Troy got his first opportunity to become a head coach at his alma mater. It didnt take long for Calhoun to adapt to his new position and he has since gone on to lead the team to a 59-44 record and three bowl victories. In his first season with the team he was also named the Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year.
