About Tyler Austin
Tyler Austin is one of the talented New York Yankees with unlimited upside. The Yankees first promoted Austin to the big league roster in August 2016. He hit a home run in his first major league at-bat. Teammate Aaron Judge was also making his professional debut and hit a homer right after Austin. Austin garnered the call-up after hitting .323 with 13 home runs in 57 games at the Triple A level. He had long been regarded as s top prospect in the Yankees system. In 2012, he was named Yankees Minor League Player of the Year. He also made an appearance in the All-Star Futures Game. Entering 2013, Baseball America named Austin the 77th best prospect in baseball. New York originally selected him in the 13th round of the 2010 MLB Draft. Austin decided to sign with the club out of high school instead of attending Kennesaw State.
