About Tyler Hansbrough
Tyler Hansbrough entered the University of North Carolina as a highly recruited power forward and proved why as he led the Tar Heels in scoring as a freshman. He went on to have one of the most successful college basketball careers ever, being named to 4 straight First-Team All-ACC teams and 3 straight First-Team All-American teams. Hansbrough was named ACC Rookie of the Year in 2006, ACC Player of the Year in 2008, and National College Player of the Year in 2008. He ended his career with numerous school and ACC records, is the ACCs all-time leading scorer, and capped it off with the NCAA National Championship in 2009. Following his college career, Hansbrough was drafted 13th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 2009 NBA Draft where he spent 4 seasons before being picked up by the Toronto Raptors before the 2013 season. In 2010, just one year after graduation, Hansbroughs #50 jersey was retired by UNC.
