Vince Ferragamo Biography

Vince Ferragamo is a former NFL quarterback who had his greatest success with the Los Angeles Rams.  The Rams drafted Ferragamo in the fourth round of the 1977 NFL Draft.  While he served as the backup for his first couple of seasons, he broke out in a big way in 1979.  He led the Rams to Super Bowl XIV, becoming the first Super Bowl starter to also make his first career start in the same season.  The following year, Ferragamo finished second in the league with 30 touchdown passes.  He spent a season with the Montreal Alouettes before returning to Los Angeles for the 1982 season.  He had tenures with the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers before retiring after the 1986 season.  After leaving football, Ferragamo has been a successful businessman in southern California.
