About Jim Everett
Jim Everett played quarterback for 12 NFL seasons and was a 1990 Pro Bowl selection. Everett played for the Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saints, and San Diego Chargers. He took the Rams to the postseason three times and experienced most of his success with his first franchise. Everett led the league in touchdown passes twice and threw 203 in his career. His 34,837 passing yards puts him among the top 20 quarterbacks in NFL history. The Houston Oilers selected Everett third overall out of Purdue in the 1986 NFL Draft and he was later traded to the Rams. During his senior season with the Boilermakers, he led the NCAA in total offense. As a junior, Everett became the only Purdue signal caller to beat Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State in the same season and also picked up a win in the 1984 Peach Bowl. He is infamously known for an on-air exchange with sportscaster Jim Rome during the early days of ESPN 2. After his playing career, Everett made his home in Southern California and opened a wealth management business.
