About Wade Redden
Wade Redden is a former NHL standout that was a two-time All-Star. The New York Islanders originally made him the second overall pick in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Redden made his NHL debut with the Ottawa Senators in 1996 and spent 11 seasons with the franchise. In his rookie season, he was named NHL Rookie of the Month for April and helped the Senators qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs. Redden served as Ottawa’s alternate captain for nine years. In 2006, Redden tied for the league lead in plus-minus. He went on to spend time with the New York Rangers, St. Louis Blues and Boston Bruins prior to retiring at the end of the 2013 season. Redden is currently an assistant director of player development for the Nashville Predators.
