About Wesley Walker
Wesley Walker was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and played his entire career for the New York Jets. Despite being legally blind in one eye, he achieved great football success. Walker ended his career in 1989 as the Jets’ second-leading all-time receiver. In his 1978 Pro Bowl season, he led the league in receiving. Walker had a great 1982 postseason for the Jets, catching 15 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns in road wins over the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Raiders. The Jets drafted him out of the University of California in the second round in 1977. Walker was an All-American for the Golden Bears and is a member of the Cal Football Hall of Fame. He is originally from San Bernardino, California and went to Carson High School. Currently, he is a P.E. teacher at Park View Elementary in Kings Park, New York. Both of his sons played college lacrosse and son John was a three-time All-American at Army.
