About Whit Watson
Whit Watson is a longtime broadcaster and four-time Emmy winner for The Golf Channel. Watson reports from events and works as a studio anchor on Golf Central. Prior to that, he was a studio host for Sun Sports and Fox Sports Florida. Watson worked at ESPN for seven years hosting on SportsCenter, ESPN News, and a variety of other programs. At all his stops, he has also been a play-by-play man. The Orlando Magic gave him his first gig as a television producer and radio reporter from 1993-1997. He graduated “with distinction” from Cornell’s College of Arts and Sciences. At the student radio station WVBR is where his broadcasting career began. Watson is a Central Florida native who attended Trinity Prep in Winter Park, Florida. He serves on the school’s Board of Trustees and is a member of the Trinity Prep Athletic Hall of Fame.
