About Yandy Diaz
Yandy Diaz is a star for the Tampa Bay Rays. Diaz was acquired by the Rays via trade prior to the start of the 2019 season and went on to hit .267 with 14 home runs and 38 RBI. He also had a big moment, hitting two home runs to help Tampa Bay defeat the Oakland Athletes in the American League Wild Card Game. Diaz previously spent parts of two seasons playing for the Cleveland Indians. He gained a great deal of notoriety in their minor league system in 2016 when he was named International League Rookie of the Year. Diaz had to battle just to become a professional baseball player in America. He was born in Cuba and played in the Cuban National Series before defecting in 2013.
