About Yoshinobu Yamamoto
Yoshinobu Yamamoto dominated Japanese baseball, leading the way for him to sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2023. Yamamoto had a remarkable seven-year tenure with the Orix Buffaloes, going 70-29 with a 1.82 ERA. He won the Pacific League MVP award three times and was a five-time Nippon Professional Baseball All-Star. Yamamoto was also the Sawamura Award each of his MVP seasons and captured the Triple Crown in Japanese baseball. His Buffaloes team also experienced success winning the Japan Series in 2022. International audiences previously got a taste of Yamamoto as he helped Japan win the 2020 Olympics and the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
