About Adrian Heath
Adrian Heath had a lengthy playing career in England, but he is best known for guiding Orlando City SC through the lower divisions of American soccer and into MLS. The best run of his playing career came at Everton, where Heath scored 71 goals in six seasons. The club also won two First Division championships and an FA Cup during that period. Heath originally came up with Stoke City in 1979. His coaching career started as a player-manager for Burnley in 1996. He also had brief stints guiding Sheffield United and Coventry City before his jump to the U.S. Heath originally coached the Austin Aztecs and stayed with the franchise when it moved to Orlando. During a four-year run in USL Pro, the club won three regular season titles and two postseason championships. Heath went 82-17-23 overall until Orlando City made their MLS jump in 2015 and won two USL Pro Coach of the Year Awards.
