About Gregg Berhalter
Gregg Berhalter is the former U.S. Men's National Soccer Team Head Coach. He has a long history as both a coach and player in American soccer. Berhalter was previously the head coach of the MLS' Columbus Crew for six seasons, reaching the playoffs four times. He got into coaching as an assistant for the LA Galaxy in 2011 prior to becoming the head coach for the Swedish club, Hammarby IF. Berhalter is one of a few American-born coaches to lead a European club. As a player, Berhalter made 44 appearances for the national team from 1994-2006. On the club side, he spent most of his career overseas before ending his playing days with the Galaxy.
