About Alan Hobson
When people talk about who may be the real-life most interesting man in the world, Alan Hobson certainly comes up on any short list. After several attempts, he successfully scaled Mt. Everest at the age of 39. Hobson was a nine-time All-American gymnast and stays active in a myriad of ways in addition to his mountain climbing adventures. When he was 42, he was diagnosed with terminal acute leukemia, but beat the disease and became an inspiration to even more people. His 2004 book, Climb Back from Cancer, was just another in a line of his successful writings. Hobson has also won the William Randolph Hearst Award for Excellence in News Writing. His Climb Back from Cancer Foundation has helped many build a road map to recovery. There is no question that Hobson is one of the best adventure and cancer speakers in the world.
